There’s an immediate warmth to Tracy that’s difficult to explain, but I knew the moment I met her that she would be a fantastic fit. She’s incredibly kind, soft, nurturing, intelligent, and genuinely caring in a way that instantly makes people feel safe around her. Some practitioners are technically skilled. Others are naturally comforting. Tracy somehow manages to be both.

What struck me most is the level of dedication she has to this work. Tracy literally moved across the country to join us here at Austin Lymphatic, and I think that says a lot about who she is. She deeply values growth, education, and surrounding herself with people who are passionate about elevating the standard of care. Hiring her was honestly a no-brainer.

Clinically speaking, Tracy is constantly learning. She is always diving into new trainings, integrating fresh techniques, and refining her understanding of the body. You can tell she genuinely loves to problem solve and think outside the box rather than applying the same approach to every client. That level of curiosity creates a practitioner who is highly adaptable, deeply thoughtful, and incredibly effective.

Tracy is also a Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT), which is an advanced certification more commonly pursued by Physical and Occupational Therapists. On top of that, she has accumulated hundreds and hundreds of hours of continuing education in everything from trigger point therapy and myofascial release to Integrative Reflexology and advanced therapeutic techniques. Her understanding of the body goes far beyond muscles and tension patterns. She truly understands how stress, trauma, compensation patterns, and nervous system dysregulation can shape the way someone feels in their body day to day.

One of the things I notice most when receiving work from Tracy is how quickly she adapts to changes happening in the body in real time. Her sessions feel incredibly intuitive, effective, and responsive. She has a natural ability to identify restrictions and uncover root causes rather than simply chasing symptoms, and she has an extensive toolkit to help address those issues from multiple angles. Even when working with complex or highly sensitive cases, she has this remarkable ability to settle the nervous system and create an environment where the body can finally let go.

Because of this, I find Tracy especially well suited for clients navigating chronic pain, physical trauma, injury patterns, nervous system overwhelm, or longstanding tension that hasn’t responded well to more aggressive approaches. She has a calming presence, but there’s also an incredible depth of clinical understanding behind everything she does.

Truthfully, I feel comfortable throwing just about any case her way because I know clients will be deeply cared for, thoughtfully listened to, and exceptionally supported in her hands.

Jacquline has been devoted to this work since 2013, with a strong clinical foundation rooted in her training at the Texas Center for Massage Therapy in Dallas. But what impressed me most was the way she’s continued to evolve ever since. There’s a level of professionalism, precision, and intentionality, and genuine care in her work that feels deeply ingrained in who she is.

Over the years, Jacquline has worked with some of the more complex and demanding post-surgical cases across Texas, and you can feel that depth of experience the moment you’re on her table. Through our training together, I noticed that Jacquline doesn’t just absorb information and immediately run with it. She studies it. She sits with it. She researches it, turns it over from every angle, questions the “why” behind it, and carefully considers how it can best serve the people on her table before integrating it into her work. Alex is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT) specializing in Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT), a credential very few massage therapists pursue. I’ve interviewed many talented practitioners over the years, but Satomi stood out immediately. Beyond her warmth, it was the quality of her questions that revealed a deep understanding of the body as an interconnected system. What impressed me most was her ability to integrate new insight in real time—adjusting and refining with ease. She is the first practitioner I’ve met who didn’t need shaping or correction. She showed up doing the work the way it took me years to learn.

Satomi was born and raised in Japan, where holistic medicine and manual bodywork are simply part of everyday life. From a young age, she was immersed in acupuncture, massage, herbal medicine, Reiki, chiropractic (seitai), and other traditional approaches. Her personal connection to bodywork deepened during a prolonged period of chronic illness in her teens. Despite testing that showed “nothing wrong,” she knew her body was asking for something more.

When conventional medicine couldn’t provide answers, her family turned to Traditional Chinese Medicine. Through consistent care, her body slowly healed, and within two years her symptoms resolved without medication. That experience shaped how she understands healing and quietly clarified her calling.

After moving to the U.S., Satomi studied Physical Anthropology and Psychology at UT Austin and later, began studying acupuncturebefore pausing to focus on raising her children. When the time came to return to her personal path, Satomi chose massage therapy as her way back into bodywork. During school, she discovered Manual Lymphatic Drainage and immediately recognized its power—especially for sensitive nervous systems like her own. Deep tissue work was never well tolerated in her body, but gentle, precise work created profound change. She pursued MLD certification immediately after becoming licensed and has continued expanding her skills ever since.

By the time Satomi joined our clinic, Manual Lymphatic Drainage was already a central pillar of her practice. She had extensive experience working with post-operative clients (including abdominal, breast, and orthopedic surgeries), autoimmune and inflammatory conditions, and general wellness care. She thoughtfully integrates complementary tools such as cupping, vibration therapy, and microcurrent when appropriate, supporting scar tissue, chronic pain, and tissue recovery. This depth of hands-on experience is evident from the moment she begins working.

Satomi genuinely loves learning. Continuing education is a true passion—borderline obsession. She has extensive training in anatomy trains, neuromuscular therapy, abdominal massage, shoulder and neck rehabilitation, cupping, gua sha, post-operative MLD, and more. She has a particular gift with trigger point work, complex neck and shoulder patterns, hip and lower back dysfunction, and nuanced cases that require both precision and creativity. I remember sitting outside under a full moon at sunset, wishing with all my heart that I could find a new team member—someone who already had a lot of experience, someone who was kind, easygoing, and above all, just “gets it”. Someone who sees the Austin Lymphatic vision and is along for the ride. Lauren called me the next morning, and it was instant.

Lauren brings more than two decades of therapeutic experience to the table—literally. She’s been a Licensed Massage Therapist in Austin since 2001 and has spent her entire career walking the line between clinical excellence and genuine care. She’s worked everywhere from chiropractic offices and rehab clinics to high-end spas and private homes, always with the same goal: to help people feel more whole in their bodies.

But what makes Lauren exceptional isn’t just her credentials. It’s the way she shows up. She was first introduced to lymphatic therapies while training for Oncology massage through St. David’s and Christopher House Hospice. She has worked extensively with pregnancy and postpartum clients, and completed advanced training in Brazilian Body Sculpting and post-operative care. Her approach to lymphatic therapy is intelligent, strategic, and completely client-centered. Every touch, every decision, every session is thoughtful.

Lauren is also a trauma-informed care provider, a meditation guide, and a Registered Yoga Instructor. But what makes Liz truly special is that she’s not your average front-desk professional. Before stepping into her administrative role, Liz spent years as one of our most talented hands-on lymphatic therapists. She worked directly with some of our most complex cases, helping clients navigate post-surgical recovery, swelling, and chronic conditions with her trademark blend of compassion, intuition, and technical skill.

When her family relocated back home to New Orleans, we couldn’t imagine losing her — so we didn’t. Liz now supports our team remotely, continuing to use her deep clinical knowledge to guide clients through the booking process and answer even the trickiest lymphatic care questions.

It’s rare to call a clinic and speak with someone who truly gets it — someone who understands what you’re going through and can point you in the right direction with both empathy and expertise. That’s Liz. Her kindness, organization, and genuine care for our clients keep everything (and everyone) flowing smoothly.

When I first heard about Jocelyne, it was from a fellow practitioner who had just received a session with her. I’m beyond grateful for the series of life events that brought Melody to Austin Lymphatic. Her journey in health and wellness began during her undergraduate years at Kansas State University, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. It was there that she first recognized her passion for helping others and she became obsessed with the body’s incredible ability to heal. She then pursued a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy at Rockhurst University in Kansas City, MO, where she refined her skills in patient-centered care, tailoring treatment plans to suit each individual’s unique needs and aspirations.

Her passion for the lymphatic system was ignited during her work as an OT specializing in Cancer Rehabilitation. Helping breast cancer patients manage chronic edema through Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) was a transformative experience, inspiring her to become a Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT). Working with breast cancer patients, who often experienced chronic edema as a result of various treatments such as surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy, gave her a deep understanding of how lymphatic therapy could improve lives. Witnessing the transformative impact of MLD through alleviating pain, improving range of motion, and fostering overall well-being was truly inspiring.

Driven by a desire to deepen her understanding and expertise in lymphedema management, she made the decision to pursue certification as a Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT). This specialized training provided her with advanced knowledge and skills necessary for effectively managing chronic lymphedema, further supporting her ability to provide comprehensive care to her clients.

But she quickly recognized these techniques could be applied towards so many other cases of extreme edema and make a huge difference in the recovery process. One particularly memorable case involved a patient struggling with post-surgical swelling after having a total knee replacement—after a single session with Melody, he regained more range of motion than he had in months. That ability to make a real difference in someone’s healing is what drives her every day.

Melody eventually found herself working at an outpatient lymphedema clinic in Austin, where she managed some of the most extreme cases in the field. However, the constraints of the insurance model left her feeling limited in how she could truly serve her patients and she knew there had to be a better way to provide the level of care she believed in. She joined Austin Lymphatic seeking a setting where she could bring her full expertise and compassion to her work—and we couldn’t be luckier to have her.

From day one, Melody needed almost no oversight. She’s one of those rare practitioners who just gets it—she took off running and has been delivering phenomenal results ever since. She is often the practitioner that other team members send their most challenging cases to.

Melody’s professionalism, expertise, and calm demeanor set her apart. She doesn’t hesitate to think outside the box, always drawing from her deep well of knowledge and creativity. It’s hard not to get overwhelmed with emotion when I think about how incredibly lucky we are to have Dr. Heather Ubiles on our team. She’s not only an exceptional critical (and practical) thinker but also has a natural curiosity and hunger for understanding the underlying cause of why things are the way they are. She has a deep-rooted desire to get to the heart of an issue and fix it at the source. In addition, she has a unique ability to connect with people from all walks of life and instantly put them at ease. Heather’s clients consistently rave about how “seen/heard” and understood she makes them feel—I think this is such a rare and special trait.

Shortly after Heather started working with us, I asked her to spearhead Austin Pelvic Floor Therapy. My own experience at another pelvic floor clinic had left me feeling discouraged (to put it mildly), and I knew there had to be a better, safer space for clients to address these deeply personal issues. Heather was the perfect person to take on this role. She has a way of blending her warmth, insight, and no-nonsense approach to create a safe, welcoming environment for even the most vulnerable conversations. The complexities of the human body just seem to click for her, and she navigates every case with confidence, insight, and grace.

Heather’s path to physical therapy is a reflection of her natural curiosity and love for learning. Growing up, she was an avid soccer player, but frequent injuries sidelined her before college. Those setbacks planted the seeds for her fascination with healing and recovery. After a particularly serious ankle injury led her to physical therapy, she discovered a passion for the mind-body connection and the science of healing. She earned her B.A. in Psychology from The University of Texas at Austin, where she cultivated her love for neuroscience and neuroplasticity—the brain’s incredible ability to rewire and heal itself. For Heather, the idea of combining neuroscience with movement, problem-solving, and human connection was irresistible. It wasn’t long before she completed her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Texas State University and embarked on her career.

During a clinical rotation in Wound Care and Lymphedema CDT at St. David’s, Heather found her true niche in the lymphatic system. She was captivated by its physiology and the profound role it plays in healing and recovery. Recognizing how lymphatic challenges delayed healing for her patients, she pursued certification in Manual Lymphatic Drainage, determined to help her clients feel better and heal faster. Heather brings this same passion for discovery and dedication to every session, empowering her clients to take charge of their health and return to the activities they love most.

Heather’s ideal clients include those dealing with pelvic pain, infertility issues, postpartum discomfort, Lipedema/Lipoedema, breast and pelvic oncological and surgical recovery, or orthopedic physical therapy needs. She loves working with patients post-breast reduction, mastectomy, DIEP flap, bladder lift, hysterectomy, endometrial tissue excision, and more. Her dedication to addressing pelvic health is a defining aspect of her work, but her expertise and passion extend far beyond, and she loves taking on new challenges.

Heather doesn’t just treat the body; she listens, connects, and creates space for her clients to feel genuinely cared for. Natalie came to Austin Lymphatic from the medical massage world, bringing with her a wealth of experience and a passion for helping others. Her time in an outpatient hospital setting gave her the chance to work on a wide variety of cases, but it also came at a cost. Deep tissue massage was beginning to take a toll on her wrists, and she knew she needed to pivot to a more sustainable path. Around that same time, she discovered the incredible benefits of Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) and saw firsthand how transformative it could be for her clients.

I’ll never forget watching Natalie during her initial training sessions. You could see her connecting the dots, lightbulbs going off again and again as she fully embraced this technique. I have to say, of everyone I’ve taught over the years, I feel Natalie picked it up the quickest. Natalie doesn’t just do lymphatic work—she feels it. She has this intuitive ability to sense exactly what a client’s body needs, and her unique approach is profoundly effective. She even has a signature technique where her front hand feels and her back hand takes action—it’s a joy to watch and even more impressive to experience.

Natalie is a powerhouse in every sense of the word. I have no idea where she gets her energy—maybe it’s her “vegan power”—but she moves lymph like nobody’s business. She’s also incredibly educational with her clients, taking the time to explain what they can expect after their sessions and empowering them to take charge of their own wellness. Her clients adore her, and it’s easy to see why so many of them become lifelong regulars.

On a personal level, Natalie is one of the kindest, most compassionate people I’ve ever met. She has a heart of gold and a sense of humor that keeps us all laughing—she’s the office clown in the best possible way. But she’s also someone I can count on for honest advice and camaraderie. Natalie is a true team player, and her presence brightens our clinic every day.

Natalie excels at working with clients recovering from plastic surgery or dealing with post-surgical fibrosis. She’s been doing this work with us for years and has thousands of sessions under her belt. When deeper work is needed, her Ashiatsu skills are a game-changer—it’s a client favorite for good reason. She’s also deeply passionate about oncology massage, combining her certifications and lymphatic expertise to create truly healing and restorative sessions. Additionally, Natalie works with several recurring clients managing autoimmune conditions, as well as those with Lymphedema and Lipedema, helping them maintain their health and improve their quality of life. Beyond that, Natalie has a gift for pre- and postnatal massage and Face Sculpting, making her a true jack of all trades. I always feel confident throwing any case her way.

Melissa is one of the most passionate and driven people I’ve ever met. When she sets her sights on something, she’s all in—and right now, that something is lymph. I first met Melissa at a massage therapy meetup I was hosting, and it’s fair to say she made an impression. You know when she’s in the room—her radiant smile, big personality, and boundless energy light up any space. Our paths crossed again when she took my Integrative Lymphatic Therapy class in Dallas. Out of a room full of 50 students, Melissa stood out as a first-class therapist. Her deep knowledge of anatomy and physiology, combined with her ability to apply that knowledge to help clients out of pain, is remarkable. It’s the true mark of an exceptional massage therapist.

Both of us being Continuing Ed junkies (Melissa outpacing me), it wasn’t long before we ended up in another class together—this time a three-day intensive training on eliminating nerve compression patterns. It just felt like fate.

Since joining Austin Lymphatic, Melissa has built an incredibly loyal tribe of clients. She’s our go-to for all things musculoskeletal and isn’t afraid to blend any and all techniques in her extensive toolbox. Every session with Melissa is a unique blend of relaxation and effectiveness, tailored to meet each client’s specific needs. Her approach to bodywork is creative and deeply intentional, blending her expertise with her artistic mind to develop innovative solutions for her clients.

Her holistic approach to bodywork extends far beyond massage therapy. She got certified as a Pilates instructor, functional fitness trainer, and mobility specialist before earning her massage therapy license. But lymphatic work quickly became her calling—combining her passions for movement and massage with her fascination for the often-overlooked lymphatic system. Her joy and obsession with this work is contagious, and her sessions reflect that passion.

Melissa loves focusing on deep core work—ribcage, diaphragm, psoas—and she often finds that this approach creates transformative results for her clients. She recently worked with a musician who swears that their singing and performing have improved after just one session with her. It’s feedback like this that speaks to Melissa’s ability to unlock potential in the body through her thoughtful and expert care. She also frequently focuses on postural muscles, building healthy tension into some while releasing unhealthy tension in others.

Melissa especially enjoys working with people at the start of their wellness journey. She creates a safe, encouraging space for clients who are curious about their bodies and the interconnectedness of everything. Guiding people through this journey is one of her favorite aspects of the job, and she excels at providing them with a clear plan, answering their questions, and empowering them to move forward with confidence.

With all this training and knowledge at her disposal, I find that Melissa is best suited for clients who’ve recently had plastic or orthopedic surgeries or are trying to avoid surgery, those seeking FasciaFit Body Sculpting, and those with postural issues, general swelling, neck pain, back pain—any pain! She has also been certified in Ashiatsu, which she doesn’t hesitate to incorporate when she sees fit.

Her big personality, warmth, and humor make her a joy to be around—and while she’s definitely the life of the party, she’s also deeply focused on her clients’ needs and able to hold space for them to unwind and truly relax.

Through Kate’s time at Austin Lymphatic, she has become one of the most solid practitioners I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with.

From the moment she joined us, she had a knack for attracting the trickiest cases. Time and again, something completely wild would land on her table, and every time, Kate would critically think her way through it with grace and skill, making a huge difference in these clients’ recovery. Now, let me tell you the truth about Emily. She’s my stepdaughter and my absolute best friend. She’s been my teaching assistant since the very beginning, and I couldn’t be prouder of the incredible practitioner (and person) she’s become. Before you make any assumptions about her age, let me share why Emily is an exceptional fit for Austin Lymphatic—and why you’d be incredibly lucky to land on her table.

I met Emily when she was just 9 years old. Many of you know that my husband, Ben, is a chiropractor—he’s the one who encouraged me to pursue bodywork in the first place. Because of this, Emily grew up immersed in the world of manual therapies. Whether she was watching her dad work, listening to me talk about the lymphatic system, or giving foot massages to earn extra bedtime privileges, bodywork was woven into her everyday life. Emily has always been naturally curious and incredibly bright, and her ability to grasp anatomy and physiology concepts with ease was remarkable from a young age.

When COVID hit, Emily was a junior in high school. Spring break turned into an extended stay-at-home period, and like many students, her world shifted overnight. Emily had always been an exceptional student, earning acceptance letters from prestigious universities like Harvard and Yale. But in the uncertainty of lockdown, her practical side took over. Instead of waiting for the world to return to normal, she chose to graduate early and enroll in massage school to start earning money while figuring out her long-term path. By the time she turned 18, Emily was not only a licensed massage therapist but also certified in lymphatic drainage. She joined our team at Austin Lymphatic and spent several years working alongside me, treating hundreds of clients with compassion and skill.

Over time, Emily’s lifelong dream of becoming a medical doctor shifted. She’s now attending Texas State University with plans to become a counselor—an incredible fit for her warm, empathetic nature. While she pursues her degree, she’s one of our dedicated “weekend warriors,” balancing her studies with her role at Austin Lymphatic. Emily’s knowledge base is exceptional, but what truly sets her apart is her heart. She’s one of the most loving, caring, and hilarious people I’ve ever known. Her ability to connect with clients is unmatched, and she brings that warmth into every session.

Clinic Manager

When I think about Tai (pronounced Ty / like Thailand), I’m reminded of the incredible determination and resourcefulness that brought her to Austin Lymphatic. Our first meeting was over the phone, when Tai, in an absolute panic, managed to find my personal cell number and called me. The lymphatic therapy company she was working for at the time was cutting therapist pay, raising prices, and struggling to stay busy enough to support their staff. Tai was desperate for a change. I asked if she could meet me and my husband at the office in 20 minutes. She started working for us the very next day, and the rest is history.

Bringing Tai onboard was a no-brainer. With over 20 years of experience as a licensed massage therapist, she’s honed her skills in medical, chiropractic, and spa settings, building an impressive and versatile “toolbox” of techniques.

But discovering lymphatic massage was a turning point for Tai. The intricacies of the lymphatic system and its role in healing captivated her, and it quickly became her true passion. Over the years, she’s developed a deep expertise in lymphatic work, with a special focus on pre- and post-operative care, TMJ pain, headaches, and general wellness. Her work is both effective and transformative- just read her google reviews.

Tai’s style is truly one-of-a-kind. Her hands move in a wave-like flow that’s impossible to mimic but remarkably effective. Personal Mission
I’ve always been drawn to a gentler approach to healing, but that instinct was deeply personal. My mom has a highly sensitive nervous system. Both traditional and alternative medicine never worked for her—they overwhelmed her body instead of helping, leaving her in worse pain than before. I knew she couldn’t be the only one. If she struggled to find bodywork that truly supported her, there had to be thousands of others who needed effective, yet non-invasive care.

That realization fueled my passion. I dove into the rabbit hole by doing advanced trainings, studying Vodder and Chikly Lymphatic Drainage Techniques, Abdominal Visceral Massage, Ashiatsu Barefoot Bar Therapy, Cupping, Post-Surgical Massage, Facial Cupping, Breast Reconstruction Techniques, Oncology Massage, Lymphatic Taping, and Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT) for Lymphedema. Each technique gave me new tools to better serve my clients, allowing me to create a practice where people—especially those who felt like their bodies couldn’t tolerate traditional massage—could finally find relief.

When I started out, plastic surgeons were among the only doctors who understood the benefits of lymphatic massage, and their patients became the bulk of my clientele. Post-surgical recovery became a cornerstone of my practice, but I knew how much more this work could do. The need for specialized lymphatic therapy stretched far beyond aesthetics, and I was determined to bridge that gap.

From Hands-On Therapist to Industry Leader & Educator
As my practice grew, I reached a point where I physically couldn’t keep up with the demand. I was booked out for months, and I hated telling people in pain that they had to wait. I realized that if I wanted to help more people, I had to stop doing everything myself and start training others to carry this work forward.
I got my teaching certification, created my own continuing education course—Integrative Lymphatic Therapy®—and developed a structured system for training highly specialized lymphatic practitioners. Last year alone, I had the privilege of teaching nearly 100 students, equipping them with the skills and knowledge to bring high-quality lymphatic care to more communities. And I’m not stopping there. I’m constantly refining protocols and creating new techniques to standardize care for conditions like Lipedema, manual body sculpting, and post-surgical recovery.

Of all my accomplishments, I’m most proud of the practitioners I’ve trained at Austin Lymphatic. From the beginning, I knew that if I hired people who were smarter than me, this would work—and I was right. One thing I’ve done exceptionally well in life is hiring. I’m incredibly particular about who we bring on board because we hold the highest standards for our team. I personally oversee, train, and manage each therapist to ensure that every client who walks through our doors feels supported and cared for like never before—seriously.

My goal isn’t just to train more therapists—it’s to elevate the entire industry. Lymphatic massage isn’t just a trendy beauty treatment; it’s an essential, medical-grade therapy that deserves recognition for its true healing potential. Through my courses, mentorship, and continued research, I’m working to ensure that lymphatic therapy is taken seriously in both the medical and wellness communities.

The Unexpected Gift: Deep Human Connection
This work has given me so much more than a career—it has given me a life filled with connection, adventure, and purpose. Some of my dearest friends started as clients on my table—people I never would have met otherwise. There’s something about this work that fosters trust, vulnerability, and genuine human connection in a way I never expected when I first started.

And it hasn’t just changed my world—it’s taken me around the world! I’ve had the opportunity to study bodywork in Thailand, Colombia, Mexico, and across the U.S. Every trip, every training, and every conversation has reinforced the profound impact this work can have on people’s lives.

A Life of Unrelenting Gratitude
This path has given me more than I ever could have imagined. It’s allowed me to build a career doing something I truly love, surround myself with an incredible team, change lives in a tangible way, and be part of a movement that is only growing.

I am endlessly grateful—for the clients who trust us with their healing, for the team that makes Austin Lymphatic what it is today, and for every single opportunity this work has brought into my life.
